# IPv6 für repo.linuxfabrik.ch und die Mirror-Server

Besser spät als nie: Unser Paket-Repository, der Download-Server und die Mirror-Server für RHEL 8, 9 und 10 sind per IPv6 erreichbar. Hosts in reinen IPv6-Netzen beziehen ihre Pakete damit direkt, ohne NAT64 oder Proxy.

## Was per IPv6 erreichbar ist

Alle Dienste laufen im Dual-Stack, IPv4 bleibt unverändert.

Ob dein Host den Weg über IPv6 nimmt, zeigt `curl`:

```
$ curl --ipv6 --head https://repo.linuxfabrik.ch/
```

## Was du prüfen solltest

**Firewalls mit Freigaben per IP-Adresse.** Wer den ausgehenden Verkehr zu unseren Servern per Adresse freigibt, ergänzt die IPv6-Adressen (Auszug):

```
$ dig +short AAAA repo.linuxfabrik.ch
$ dig +short AAAA mirror-rhel9.linuxfabrik.ch
```

**Zugriff auf die Mirror-Server per IP-Freigabe.** Neben Benutzername und Passwort schalten wir den Zugriff auf die Mirror-Server auch per Quell-Adresse frei. Diese Freigaben gelten pro Adressfamilie. Ein Host mit IPv6, dessen Netz bei uns nur mit der IPv4-Adresse hinterlegt ist, bekommt per IPv6 ein `401 Unauthorized`. Schick uns in diesem Fall dein IPv6-Präfix, oder verwende Benutzername und Passwort.
