2025 brought us new customers, lots of inquiries around "moving away from Microsoft", as well as several large-scale projects - to the great benefit of the Monitoring Plugins and especially LFOps. On the staffing side, some people joined and others moved on; we want to keep growing and are spending the last quarter actively looking for Linux System Engineers.
January
We're now completely paperless and have migrated all our document management to Paperless-ngx, including integration with our accounting system based on Bexio.
February
From now on, you can try out Icinga at https://icinga-demo.linuxfabrik.ch. At the same time, Icinga became available on the Exoscale Marketplace.
March
The Monitoring Plugins are now also packaged for ARM and have been switched from calendar-based to semantic versioning. First official release: v1.2.0.11.
We also publish utr, a tool to manage monitors and more in UptimeRobot using Ansible-style, state-based configuration via YAML files. Naturally open source and released under the UNLICSENSE. More about it on our blog.
May
We release ChecklistFabrik, a tool to display and work through YAML-based checklists in the browser. This makes it easy to establish standardized processes and workflows within a company. Again, of course, open source and under the UNLICSENSE. More about it on our blog.
June
We dive into AI based on Nvidia with CUDA and the container toolkit on Fedora and Rocky.
We release Monitoring Plugins v2.1.1 and LFOps v3.0.0 (now with support for Mastodon).
July
We release ChecklistFabrik v1.2.1.
September
We release Monitoring Plugins v2.2.1, for the first time with packages for Debian 13 and RHEL 10.
While we usually work with Graylog and OpenSearch, we also deploy Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana on customer request.
October
We release LFOps v4.0.0.
November
We release ChecklistFabrik v1.3.0 and LFOps v5.0.0.
December
We move to larger office space at the same location and start implementing additional CIS hardenings in LFOps.
Done for this year. π
