Ideal for patching test and prod environments
Our mirrors update their repositories once a week, always on Saturday. This means that you can start patching your test or development infrastructure on Sunday. If the monitoring is still green and everything works as usual, you can move to production in the middle of the week. This gives you plenty of time for everything and ensures that the same version is installed everywhere. And you save the resources and maintenance of your own mirror servers.
For RHEL 7 and RHEL 8 (and compatible).
The following repos are available (as of 2024-01):
We also offer RPM repos for software that cannot be installed as a package:
Q: What if an update breaks something?
A: If something goes wrong with the first updates, we simply hold them back.
Q: What do I have to do in my infrastructure to use the Linuxfabrik mirror servers?
A: Just add our mirror servers and the corresponding credentials to your repository files.
Q: And what if I need more repositories based on the same principle??
A: We are happy to add them.
Q: How have you implemented this technically?
A: You can see how we implemented it here: https://github.com/Linuxfabrik/mirror
Q: Will .rpm and .deb packages be offered?
A: As of today (Last Update 2024-01) only RPM packages for RHEL 7 and RHEL 8 (and compatible).
